Jim Aramanda, Director

Jim Aramanda has spent 33 years in the financial services industry in various executive roles.

He was with Mellon Financial Corporation for 25 years in various senior executive roles including President of RM Trust Company in Canada, ( a joint venture between Royal Trust and Mellon Financial). He served as President and CEO of ChaseMellon Investor Services and President and CEO of Mellon Investor Services in the US. He concluded his career at Mellon Financial as Vice Chairman responsible for the Payment Solutions and Investor Services sector and member of Mellon's Executive Committee.

He most recently held the role of Group President and Executive Vice President of ADP Corporation responsible for the Claims Processing, Brokerage and Dealer Services businesses.

Jim earned a BS degree from Miami University, Ohio where he also serves as an advisory board member of the Richard T. Farmer School of Business. He also serves as director of the United Way of Bergen County.

Mike Broadfoot, Chairman

Mike Broadfoot's business interests are focused on the development of early stage companies, with his employment career having been primarily in the energy marketing and trading industry. Mike retired from the merchant energy business and his then current position as President and CEO of Engage Energy, in mid 2002, shortly after the sale of Engage to a US-based energy company. Mike was one of the founders of a predecessor to Calgary-based Engage, and led the evolution of that group from a start-up phase through to its mature status as one of the major energy trading and marketing firms in North America.

In 2003, Mike became a founding Director of InnerVision Medical Technologies, an early stage private company with proprietary technology in medical imaging. Past Directorships include: Union Gas, the Ontario natural gas utility; Peyto Exploration and Development, a TSX listed company which Mike was a co-founder of in 1998, and a Director of until June 2003; Stormworks Ltd. a privately held e-business services company that was acquired by Solium; and Encore Energy a joint venture between Engage and EPCOR, the Edmonton based power and water utility.

Brian Craig, Executive Director

Brian served in the role of President and Chief Executive Officer from May 2002 to May 2006. Brian has served on the Solium Board of Directors since 2001. Prior to joining Solium full-time, Brian founded and was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Stormworks Ltd., a privately held e-business services company that was acquired by Solium.

Brian is a principal at a Calgary-based venture capital company called Adventure Capital. Through this vehicle Brian invests in many early-stage companies, including energy and technology companies. Brian has acquired Board and Audit Committee experience at several business he has been involved with, including public and private companies.

Brian is an engineer, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton) in 1981.

Jeff English, Director

Jeff English became a Solium board member in November 2007. Jeff joined Solium in 2004 as Vice President, Market Development and subsequently became President and Chief Executive Officer of Solium in May 2006. As CEO, Jeff is responsible for overseeing the company’s worldwide operations as well as providing executive direction for Solium's strategic growth and expanding operations

Prior to Solium, Jeff was Vice President and Director, Energy Origination, TD Commodity and Energy Trading Inc. a unit of TD Securities, responsible for overseeing market development and product sales to energy clients in North America. In addition, Jeff spent 12 years in progressively senior roles with Engage Energy Canada LP, an energy merchant subsidiary of Westcoast Energy Inc. with his last position being Vice President, Commercial Analytics. Jeff has a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Calgary.

In addition to Solium, Jeff is a significant shareholder and board member of a private Calgary based company with interests in real estate, manufacturing and retail operations.

Justin Ferrara, Director

Justin Ferrara is a Corporate Securities Lawyer at Macleod Dixon LLP based in Calgary, Alberta. Justin advises a number of public and private companies and investment dealers in connection with public and private equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and corporate governance issues. Prior to joining Macleod Dixon LLP, Justin was a member of the management team at a venture capital company that invested in high tech companies. Justin graduated from Dalhousie University with a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws.

Russ Waterhouse, Director

Russ Waterhouse joined Solium's Board of Directors in August 2004. Russ has extensive experience in the international financial services industry with more than 12 years as a senior corporate officer. From 2000 to 2003 he served as President of Computershare Ltd. North America, and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Computershare Trust Company of Canada.

Previously, he spent 10 years with Mellon Financial Corporation in various senior level roles including group Vice President of ChaseMellon Shareholder Services, Chief Operating Officer of the R.M. Trust Company of Canada, Chief Financial Officer of Mellon Investor Services and Chief Financial Officer of the The R.M. Trust Company of Canada.

Tony Webb, Director

Tony Webb joined the Solium Board of Directors in October 2003. Tony currently serves as Chair of The Executive Committee (TEC), an international organization of CEOs. He also serves as a director of CMA Holdings Inc, MD Management Ltd and CPAS Systems Inc. He is an Executive-in-Residence at the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. Tony has enjoyed a career spanning over three decades with RBC Financial Group in various capacities in Canada and Europe, including five years as President and CEO of Royal Trust.
