Junior/Intermediate Software Test Analyst

Location: Calgary, AB CANADA

Solium is currently looking to add talented and passionate Software Testers to its world class product development team. Our web-based Shareworks® application has been developed using Sun's J2EE framework (including the EJB, JMS, Servlet, and JSP technologies) and we are always looking to extend our platform and expand our knowledge. Our Quality Assurance team is organized in a flat structure where everyone is encouraged to contribute to the evolution of our product and lead testing projects within the application. Each tester is empowered and encouraged to make core decisions about how we create and deliver market solutions to help guide the direction of the Shareworks® platform. We are driven by an iterative development cycle with an emphasis on close collaboration with our Operations team and our clients. The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Execute and review test results to ensure the application maintains its stability through the release cycles
  • Contribute to collecting Quality Assurance metric information such as defects, defect counts and test results
  • Document all problems and assist in their resolution.
  • Stay up to date on current quality techniques and doctrines
  • A commitment to quality and continuous improvement processes
  • Documentation of training plans, business processes and configuration to assist in support and continued development of the application
  • Participate in all meetings as required
  • As a member of the Application Support team, actively participate in defining, developing and implementing standards, templates and best practices
  • Ensure all enhancement requests in the product(s) are tracked and addressed, utilizing service desk
  • Contribute in the delivery of the overall development vision
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Candidate qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired technical skills

  • Some experience with scripting languages like Perl or Ruby

  • Ability to work in both Windows and Linux

Position Profile: Associate Account Administrator

Location: Tempe, AZ USA

Solium Capital is looking to hire smart, talented people for Associate Account Administrator positions in our new Tempe (Phoenix), AZ office. This entry-level role is primarily responsible for working with client service teams to provide day-to-day stock plan administration services to our enterprise clients. You will interact with HR professionals, senior financial staff, and high-level payroll/benefits contacts on a regular basis. As part of our team, you will play a key role in the evolution of Solium as the global industry-leading standard.

Primary job responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer support to ensure maximum satisfaction and a positive experience for our clients
  • Maintain stock option, restricted stock, and employee share purchase plan data for U.S. clients on Solium's proprietary platform Shareworks
  • Process transactions related to restricted stock or employee share purchase plans
  • Facilitate trading compliance requirements for key insiders/executives
  • Train clients to produce financial and administrative reports using our self-service model

  • Actively participate with internal teams and clients from sales hand-off through implementation; ensure appropriate transition and training to Account Administration team; manage ongoing responsibility for client relationships
  • Meet regularly with clients to review account-related performance measurements, resolve outstanding issues, plan for upcoming events, and field client requests
  • Work with Account Administration teams to ensure client plan and regulatory compliance, including (but not limited to) insider trading and reporting
  • Supply strategic guidance and expertise in Solium's environment, systems, capabilities, and equity compensation issues, and develop solutions to support requirements
  • Provide input on operational procedures and systems to maintain efficiencies, data accuracy, and equity plan compliance
  • Review client billing to ensure invoices are in line with contractual expectations and work performed
  • Act as key escalation point for day-to-day issues identified at the Account Administrator level

The Client Account Administrator, Customer Operations functions as a plan administrator dealing with HR professionals, senior financial staff, and high-level payroll/benefits contacts on Solium enterprise accounts. The position requires extensive knowledge of Solium products in addition to strong customer communication skills. Excellent customer management skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction are required to support clients.

  • Processing contribution, withdrawal and termination files
  • Maintenance of employee groups including key Insiders

  • Production of financial and administration reports
